Synopsis
The Suzukis are a family of 4 : father, mother, son and daughter. The son, Koichi, who had become a stay-at-home shut-in, decides one day to take his own life in his room on the second floor. His body is first discovered by the mother, Yuko, who is so distraught that she attempts suicide herself. Though rescued, she is hospitalized for mental trauma and lapses into a coma.
The one day, Yuko miraculously regains consciousness. For better of for worse, she awakens devoid of any memory of Koichi's death. Father Sachio and Sister Fumi, not wanting to endanger Yuko's recovery and concerning for her delicate condition, tell her that Koichi had overcome his reclusiveness and found work overseas, lying to her on the spur of the moment. Life begins anew based on upholding this lie of Koichi overseas to the mother... But how long can father and daughter continue to deceive Yuko?
