Always On My Mind (1993)
“Always On My Mind” 1993 is about self-discovery of a man after being diagnosed with an incurable disease. Michael Hui plays the title role as the coward newscaster-turned-opportunistic-moneygrubber, with much help from his “beloved” family. “Always On My Mind” is a vicious satire that exposes the media industry as somewhat fraudulent, weak, and shallow. All these end up to a rare comedy with a refined combination of laughter’s with tears and happiness with sorrow.

Michael Hui plays warm-hearted China-man comes to urban Hong Kong where he meets family, mobile phones and insurance fraud. This all-star cast comedy topped 1989 Chinese New Year Box-office and ranked No.3 film of 1989.

Chicken And Duck Talk (1988)
One of Hong Kong’s best-loved and critically-acclaimed comedies about Chinese roast duck vs American fried chicken. This satire topped Hong Kong box-office fo summer 1988 and won the American Film Institute’s Best Actor Award in 1989.

The Magic Touch (1992)
Michael Hui plays fortune-telling con man/psychic who suddenly “sees the future”. This sci-fi satire was one of Hong Kong’s top grossing films of 1992. Michael was awarded Distinguished Film Artist by Film Center of the Art Institute of Chicago.
