Alex Faraday (Olga Kurylenko), a mysterious thief, is dragged into a highly calculated heist by her former partner. After the escape, she and her gang are targeted by a team of professional hitmen. Alex witnesses her partner being brutally murdered, she soon discovers that the assassination is not just about the stolen diamonds from the bank. They are being hunted for the hard drive, hidden with the diamonds, which could cause the eruption of political mayhem. The Senator (Morgan Freeman) has appointed Mr. Washington (James Purefoy), the leader of the hitmen, to try all means to prey upon Alex and get the hard drive back. The vis-à-vis encounter with Alex unleashes the mastermind behind the heist and the true identity of Alex.
