"Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F" marks the triumphant return of Eddie Murphy as the beloved Axel Foley, and it doesn't disappoint. Directed by Mark Molloy and written by Will Beall, Tom Gormican, and Kevin Etten, this action comedy serves as the fourth installment in the Beverly Hills Cop series and a worthy sequel to its predecessors.

Eddie Murphy's reprisal of the Axel Foley role is a sheer delight. His impeccable comic timing and infectious energy remind us why he became a comedy icon. The film brilliantly combines Murphy's talents with the return of familiar faces like Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser, and Bronson Pinchot, creating a sense of nostalgia and camaraderie that fans will appreciate.

The addition of Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a new cast member is a pleasant surprise, further enhancing the film's dynamics. The father and daughter subplot, with Taylour Paige portraying Foley's daughter, adds depth to the story and allows for meaningful character development.

"Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F" strikes a perfect balance between humor and action. The outrageous action sequences provide a thrilling backdrop for the comedic moments, resulting in a highly entertaining experience from start to finish. While it may not redefine the genre or offer groundbreaking storytelling, it accomplishes its goal of delivering good old-fashioned fun.

Overall, "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F" is a welcome return for Eddie Murphy and a delightful addition to the franchise. With its hilarious moments, nostalgic charm, and well-crafted action, it is a must-watch for fans and guarantees an enjoyable time at the movies.

I rated it 7.5/10
