Synopsis
Social worker Sandy (Olivia Cheng) emigrates to Canada with her father when she is young. Although she is very committed to her job, she still feels socially discriminated as a Chinese. She decides to come back to Hong Kong to develop her career.

During her probation period at a girls’ home, she is confronted with four problematic cases. Mildred (Rachel Lee), the daughter of a millionaire, injures her father’s girlfriend accidentally and is convicted. Jane (Irene Wan) is put in the girls; home because she runs away from her family many times. Kam (Fennie Yuen) and her good friend, Smart Ass (Charine Chan) are young prostitutes. Sandy is friendly and sincere to all of them and is gradually accepted as a friend.

Progressing well with her work, Sandy discovers that Kam’s mother is in fact her mother and Kam is her step-sister. When dealing with Kam, she is totally perplexed under the mixed feeling she has over her.
