Listless high school teacher Cheng (Lo Chun Yip) comes upon an anonymous suicide note at school. The contents of the note echo memories of his own past. Worried for the worst, Cheng races to find the student who wrote the note, while recalling memories of his shattered childhood with his brother, his mother (Rosa Maria Velasco) and his overbearing father (Ronald Cheng), whose strict academic expectations and abusive behavior ripped the family apart. As an adult, Cheng struggles with relationships, both with his ex-wife (Hanna Chan) and with his estranged father who is now critically ill.
