The best thing about the third John Wick film is not Keanu Reeves, but the long awaited return to big screen of Asian American martial artist actor Mark Dacascos. It is his steer presence that elevate the film from the usual “John Wick” affair and his comic timing adds to the menace required of the role in what is extremely physically demanding m. Dacascos at 55, is as energetic as ever and this is really showtime for someone who never really had a breakthrough role like this one in his career. Having said that, this is a highly entertaining and non-stop adrenaline filled action thriller from start to finish with plenty of awesome supporting performances from Laurence Fishburne, Halle Berry and Ian McShane. A true Hollywood action blockbuster in full force.

Keanu Reeves headline the titled character for the third time and with ease and presence, he manages to impresses as the now retired John Wick fighting against the odds of the establishment. Mark Dacascos makes an excellent nemesis whose martial arts prowess is second to none. Ian McShane shines as the hotel manager holding front at the protected grounds of the Continental. Halle Berry makes a welcome return as the former love interest and Laurence Fishburne is every-bit the underground king. Asia Kate Dillon plays the adjudicator with plenty of flair and style.

All in all, “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” works because it remains very simple and straight forward and thus allowing the action to take the forefront stage. All the action sequences is meticulously staged and the fight scenes between Dacascos and Reeves remain the highlight. Stuntman turned Director Chad Stahelski (John Wick series) manages to keep the action standard at a high quality level and along with the neo-noir visual style, we now awaits the 4th film as the saga continues.

I rated it 8/10
