To call this the best Mission Impossible Film in the series is probably an understatement as it oozes with thrills, non stop engagement, action packed and all the hallmarks of precisely what action thriller blockbuster should be. There is not a single moment of boredom in Tom Cruise latest adventure as the famed IMF agent Ethan Hunt as he jumps from one impossible stunt and situation to another in pure breathtaking atmosphere and almost an instant joy to watch. This is what entertainment should be, an escapist for the fans and not a moment wasted on pointless linkage of plotlines. What we get is an outstanding action film that knows the target audience well, coupled with engaging plot line and twists and turns and mind blowing grand staging stunts, provides Cruise to carry the boat on the biggest stage available.

Cruise continues the journey directly from the last film and allows his nemesis to throw a few decent punches both at him and his age. This makes his feat more believable and realistic. Simon Pegg returns and once again provides the film with its best comic moments. Regular Ving Rhames is simply the rock of the series with his steady and calm presence. Meanwhile the villain mantle goes to Henry Cavill who impresses with both physical presence and an almost superior copy of Cruise in almost every compartment, allowing the tension to go right to the very last wire. Rebecca Ferguson again shows why she is the next big thing.

All in all, “Mission Impossible 6” is almost flawless, tense and tight from the get go, entertaining from start to finish. The next film in the series will be hard to beat, but this film shows that there is still plenty of life in this long running adventure and Cruise have plenty more to deliver. Director Christopher McQuarrie should be commended for taking the series to new greatest heights and breaking all genre preconceptions in the process. This is a great film and probably a must see action blockbuster of 2018.

I rated it 10/10
