Film Review: No Hard Feelings 調教你處男) (2023) USA 🇺🇸

Jennifer Lawrence is simply amazing in the raunchy romantic comedy “No Hard Feelings” directed by Gene Stupnitsky (previous works include writing “Bad Teacher”). This film works well on many levels including the most important element of romantic comedy is both chemistry and entertainment value. Both boxes are tick in an absolutely banging manner as a simple story in all ways allows the characters to grow on the audience as one awkward moments matches the next.
The real star of the show is Jennifer Lawrence who is not afraid to bare it all for any scenes or gags for that matter. Lawrence knows how to be natural and funny and carries the film with the same presence as we grew to enjoy and love in “Joy”. Andrew Barth Feldman, the teenager pairs well in Lawrence both on an intellectual level and personality wise. This helps to bring the duo on a level that explains why the film works well despite the obvious age gap amongst all things.
All in all, “No Hard Feelings” manages to be refreshing and entertaining showing that the romantic comedy genre is still very much alive, but it needs to be sexy and relevant. Director Gene knows the audience well and delivers precisely as expected and by the finale, it just feels good to be natural.
I rated it 8/10
