A car crash separates Hitomi (Takako Tokiwa) from her engaged fiancée. She travels to Hong Kong broken-heartedly to fulfill a dream for her late love. In her visit she encounters Bo (Leslie Cheung), an undercover cop who has a strong resemblance to her love.
Adversity puts Bo in danger when he is betrayed and framed by his partner. He flees to China with Hitomi and their love blossoms in the escape. Just when Bo sneaks back to Hong Kong to clear his name and crackdown a ruthless gang, he loses Hitomi who determines to give up her affection over Bo but devotes all her faith and loyalty to her late fiancée.
Desperate Bo returns to the Peak for the unforgettable night he once spent with Hitomi. There he finds the merriest miracle and mercy of lost and found.
