Based on a real life case of a taxi driver robbery-murder that took place in August of 2010, a young man named Hyun-woo is wrongly convicted and served 10 years in prison due to fake evidence and false confession prepared by the police and prosecution.
Lee Joon-young is a lawyer-for-hire, who recently lost a class action lawsuit and his entire life savings with it. In order to attract the attention of a high-profile law firm, he decides to take on Hyun-woo's case pro bono. He started off the case in search of fame and fortune, but as he slowly gets deeper and deeper into the case, he finds out that Hyun-woo's incarceration was due to the police and prosecution's malpractice and abuse of their power.
With renewed conviction to use his knowledge to clear an innocent man's name, Joon-young fights to uncover the truth and put those responsible behind bars.
